Dan Hooker doesn\u2019t take it personally when people raise concerns about his future.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In February, Hooker was stopped by Benoit Saint Denis in his second consecutive loss to one among the highest names within the lightweight division.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

Having previously been on a three-fight win streak with momentum behind him, this latest setback led to Hooker opening up about mistakes he\u2019s been making for a while.<\/p>\n

The following project for \u2018The Hangman\u2019 will see him walk into enemy territory and prove that he still belongs near the highest of the 155-pound weight class.<\/p>\n

Dan Hooker supports people questioning a fighter after they suffer a couple of losses<\/h2>\n

Dan Hooker faces Salahdine Parnasse in September in what will likely be an enormous Octagon debut for the marquee signing in his home country of France.<\/p>\n

Having a highly-regarded star like Parnasse beat a giant name and fan favorite in front of his crowd will likely be a really strong way for the brand new arrival to kick off his UFC profession.<\/p>\n

While the chances could also be stacked against Hooker on this one, he\u2019s bounced back from difficult stretches to prove that he\u2019s still got more left within the tank before.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s quite common for the UFC to place a veteran fighter who might be on the decline against a rising star whose stock could be elevated by adding a major name to their record.<\/p>\n

Only one week before the Paris essential event was confirmed, Hooker shared his thoughts on this process and fans questioning a fighter\u2019s ability to proceed competing at a high level.<\/p>\n

He explained that he simply views this as a natural a part of the game and doesn\u2019t think that athletes who’ve built up a popularity should get a pass.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou’re taking a few losses, you gotta prove your spot within the division,\u201d Hooker told She Loves The Gloves<\/a>. \u201cYou gonna sit there and take it personal or [get] offended? It\u2019s only a natural life cycle of a fighter and I feel like people should ask questions. <\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like you’re taking a few losses, people should start questioning, \u2018Should he be facing this level of competition? Should he be trying to hang it up?\u2019 Because what are we gonna do? Let a man get his a\u2013 kicked like ten times and everybody goes, \u2018Yeah, credit to you, still a legend.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Dan Hooker has admitted regrets in regards to the last time he welcomed a debuting fighter<\/h2>\n

UFC Paris won\u2019t be the primary time that Dan Hooker has stood across the Octagon from a serious signing made by the promotion.<\/p>\n

At UFC 157, he was stopped by Michael Chandler in the primary round, which then led to his opponent happening to fight for the vacant lightweight title.<\/p>\n

It took Hooker several years to re-establish himself as one among the highest names within the lightweight division after putting his spot on the road against a brand new addition.<\/p>\n

While he finds himself in a really different position this time around, Salahdine Parnasse will likely be hoping to repeat Chandler through the use of \u2018The Hangman\u2019 as his springboard.<\/p>\n
