Dustin Jacoby actually didn’t exit the Octagon unscathed on Saturday night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018The Hanyak\u2019 was amongst those making the walk on the UFC Abu Dhabi undercard before Magomed Ankalaev beat Bogdan Guskov within the essential event.<\/p>\n

The previous kickboxer, who once fought former two-division champion Alex Pereira contained in the ring, was tasked with handing an undefeated prospect his first loss in the game to carry on to his No. 11 rating at 205 kilos.<\/p>\n

Jacoby failed in that project \u2014 and in violent fashion.<\/p>\n

Dustin Jacoby believes he broke his hand before being knocked out by Muhammad Saidov at UFC Abu Dhabi<\/h2>\n

Jacoby entered Saturday\u2019s event on the Etihad Arena on his best run within the UFC since 2022.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old had won three straight fights via knockout, having finished Vitor Petrino, Bruno Lopes, and Julius Walker with strikes.<\/p>\n

On July 25, \u2018The Hanyak\u2019 was the victim of such a finish, having been stopped by an onslaught of punches and knees from the highly touted Muhammad Saidov.<\/p>\n

The sunshine heavyweight prospect stopped Jacoby in round two, marking an ideal debut for the unbeaten Russian, who’s now 10-0 in skilled MMA.<\/p>\n

In his first statement on social media, the defeated American suggested he likely suffered a broken arm early into the fight, which little question would have hampered his efforts in striking exchanges.<\/p>\n

\u201cAppreciate the support guys,\u201d Jacoby wrote on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cCaught my right arm early within the fight and think I can have broke it. A part of me is definite, the optimistic side is remaining hopeful.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope I\u2019m improper,\u201d he continued. \u201cI\u2019ll get x-rays very first thing after I get back home.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes you\u2019re the hammer, sometimes you\u2019re the nail, but I’ll at all times be The Man In The Arena!\u201d<\/p>\n

While Jacoby seeks medical attention for his likely injury, Saidov shall be waiting for his next likelihood to impress contained in the Octagon.<\/p>\n
