An enormous wildfire raging across France is now only nine miles from town of Bordeaux.<\/p>\n

French President Emmanuel Macron has called an emergency cabinet meeting as officials warn that the following 24 hours might be critical within the battle to save lots of town.<\/p>\n

A French foreign minister has urged tourists to not cancel their travel plans despite unprecedented wildfires within the country\u2019s south west.<\/p>\n

\u00c9l\u00e9onore Caroit, the French minister for international partnerships,has urged tourists to not cancel their travel plans despite the hearth.<\/p>\n

One British restaurant owner in Bordeaux said town is \u2018filled with smoke and ash\u2019.<\/p>\n

Lance Attwood, 58, who owns Sweeney Todd\u2019s in Bordeaux city centre, said: \u2018It\u2019s not likely conducive to coming out. The town is filled with smoke and ash, so there\u2019s a giant drop in business, individuals are just walking around town in masks.<\/p>\n

\u2018Our biggest concern is people\u2019s safety and the protection of the emergency services.\u2019<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Edward Chisholm, a 38-year-old from the UK, told The Telegraph: \u2018My girlfriend and I even have been renting a house on Grand Piquey, which is on the northern end of Cap Ferret, for our holiday with our four-year-old son.<\/p>\n
