THE Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) on Monday said Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (MYNLD) will replace Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions, Inc. (CNVRG) within the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) following its latest review covering trading activity from July 2025 to June 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n The changes, which take effect on Aug. 3, may also see Aboitiz Equity Ventures, Inc. (AEV) added to the PSE Dividend Yield (PSE DivY) Index, while Converge and Philex Mining Corp. (PX) will join the PSE MidCap Index, replacing Asia United Bank Corp. (AUB).<\/span><\/p>\n Maynilad qualified for early inclusion within the benchmark index, becoming only the third company to accomplish that because the PSE introduced the rule in 2021.<\/p>\n \u201cMYNLD is barely the third company to qualify for early PSEi inclusion since we introduced this rule in 2021. MYNLD\u2019s stellar post-IPO share price growth and the demand for its stock allowed the corporate to simply meet the market cap and liquidity criteria for index membership,\u201d PSE President and Chief Executive Officer Ramon S. Monzon said in an announcement.<\/span><\/p>\n The exchange said Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc. (RRHI) had already been faraway from the PSE MidCap and PSE DivY indices effective July 16 after its public float fell below the minimum public ownership requirement following the completion of its tender offer.<\/p>\n The PSE\u2019s latest index review also included changes to several sector indices.<\/p>\n The financials index will add Bank of Commerce (BNCOM) and National Reinsurance Corp. of the Philippines (NRCP), with no corporations removed.<\/p>\n The economic index will add Basic Energy Corp. (BSC), Maynilad, and Top Line Business Development Corp. (TOP), replacing Concepcion Industrial Corp. (CIC), Pryce Corp. (PPC), and Vitarich Corp. (VITA).<\/p>\n The holding firms index will include Lopez Holdings Corp. (LPZ), while the mining and oil index will add The Philodrill Corp. (OV).<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, the property index will remove Vista Land & Lifescapes, Inc. (VLL) and VistaREIT, Inc. (VREIT), while the services index will remove AllDay Marts, Inc. (ALLDY) and AllHome Corp. (HOME), with no corporations added to either index.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cAll changes to the PSE Indices shall be effected on August 3, 2026,\u201d the exchange said.<\/p>\n Mr. Monzon said the July 2025-to-June 2026 review was conducted under the exchange\u2019s existing index methodology. The following review, covering trading activity from January to December 2026, will use the revised index management policy approved earlier this month, which places greater emphasis on stock liquidity.<\/p>\n Under the revised methodology, corporations looking for inclusion within the PSE\u2019s indices will probably be evaluated using the Median Trading Activity Ratio (MTAR) and Monthly Average Every day Value Turnover (MADV), alongside market capitalization and public float requirements.<\/p>\n The PSE said the revised methodology is meant to maintain its indices aligned with global standards and attentive to evolving market conditions. \u2014 Alexandria Grace C.
