Actor Alan Ritchson<\/strong> became a hot topic in March 2026 when he was allegedly attacked by a neighbor while riding his motorcycle along with his kids. Now, months later, the \u201cReacher\u201d star is breaking his silence and going into detail concerning the attack and the lasting impact it\u2019s had on his children.<\/p>\n

Ritchson appeared on the \u201cArmchair Expert\u201d podcast<\/a> in July 2026, discussing several topics, from his profession to his family life. Through the hour-plus conversation, the \u201cFast and the Furious\u201d star was asked about that March 2026 altercation between himself and his neighbor. <\/p>\n

In describing the events, he stated that he was \u201chardly moving\u201d before the attack, which the neighbor claimed was over excessive noise from the motorcycle. Ritchson claimed that the person, Ronnie Taylor<\/strong>, \u201cimpulsively stepped in front of\u201d the motorcycle to confront him. <\/p>\n

After that, the actor claims that things took a turn for the more serious when Taylor \u201cgot here at [him]\u00a0pretty aggressively.\u201d He then described the neighbor as \u201chuge, the identical size as me.\u201d Ritchson also recalled noticing the odor of alcohol coming from Taylor\u2019s breath.<\/p>\n

From there, Ritchson claims to have attempted leaving before being \u201ctwo-hand shoved off the bike.\u201d <\/p>\n

After being pushed from his motorcycle, Ritchson said he knew he needed to spring into motion. Based on the 43-year-old, \u201cAt that time,\u00a0there\u2019s\u00a0no conversation.\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0got to guard me and got to guard my kids and get us off the road safely, and which means getting the guy out of the image.\u00a0So\u00a0I hit the guy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, following the attack from his neighbor, Ritchson says he\u2019s been \u201crobbed\u201d of motorcycle rides along with his kids. This comes as he \u201ccan\u2019t persuade them to do it.\u201d In fact, the actor doesn\u2019t blame his kids, saying he understands them being unwilling to \u201ccope with that dude.\u201d From there, he acknowledged that he was still angered by the situation and resents the person. <\/p>\n

He added, \u201cMy wife was at a retreat. I had no technique to contact her. I used to be the only real caretaker of my kids \u2026 calming them down, assuring them, \u2018I\u2019m not\u00a0gonna\u00a0get arrested, I don\u2019t think,\u2019 [with an] army of\u00a0cops\u00a0on my porch.\u201d While on the podcast, Ritchson stated that he feared the altercation may impact his profession. <\/p>\n

Regarding his family, he\u2019s been married to his wife, Catherine Ritchson<\/strong>, since 2006. They share three boys, with the youngest being born in 2012. <\/p>\n

Ritchson continued his recounting of the events from March by discussing what kept him out of jail, noting that he\u2019d only purchased his body camera a few 12 months prior. He called it a \u201cpremonition\u201d or \u201cintuition,\u201d noting that whichever of the 2 it was had \u201csaved [his] life.\u201d<\/p>\n

He went on, \u201cIf anything makes you go, \u2018Perhaps God is real,\u2019\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0[that]. If I\u00a0hadn\u2019t\u00a0had that,\u00a0dude,\u00a0I\u2019d\u00a0probably still\u00a0be in jail. The\u00a0cops\u00a0got here to arrest me that day and only had [a tape from a neighbor] to go off\u00a0of\u2026\u00a0[My video] modified the course of my life endlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ritchson also claims to have \u201cnever met that guy ever in my life.\u201d He added, \u201cNever seen him before. He lied to TMZ about [telling us] the day before, \u2018Hey,\u00a0buddy. Decelerate.\u2019 None of that was true.\u201d<\/p>\n

The third season of Ritchson\u2019s hit Prime Video series \u201cReacher\u201d got here to an end in March 2025. Now, after a lengthy wait, the fourth season is ready to start on the streamer on August 12, 2026, with a three-episode premiere. <\/p>\n

Following the three-episode premiere, latest episodes will debut on the platform weekly. Most recently, a brand new trailer was unveiled on July 25 on the San Diego Comic-Con. Notably, the brand new season of the show will adapt Stan Lee\u2019s novel, \u201cGone Tomorrow,\u201d with the show being mostly set in Philadelphia. <\/p>\n
