Kapil Sharma\u2019s The Great Indian Kapil Show and Samay Raina\u2019s India\u2019s Got Latent Season 2 are pretty famous and loved shows today that needs no introduction. While the previous initially aired on TV under two different names \u2013 Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colours and The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony, it began streaming on Netflix India since 2024 as The Great Indian Kapil Show. As for Samay\u2019s show, the controversial stand-up show \u2013 which originally streamed on YouTube, made its approach to the OTT giant just last month.<\/p>\n

Ever since Kapil Sharma began hosting his talk shows \u2013 complete with skits, audience interaction and a sit-down chat with celebrities, the platform has been used time and time again to advertise movies and shows while also celebrating the success of real-life achievers. Since moving to Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show has seen stars like Salman Khaan, Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jr NTR, Kriti Sanon, Kartik Aaryan, Varun Dhawan, and plenty of more make their approach to the fun couch to discuss live, love and movies. <\/p>\n
<\/blockquote>\nWhile fans now await season 5 of The Great India Kapil Show, Netflix announced that the second season of Samay Raina\u2019s headline grabbing arise comedy show would begin streaming on their platform. Unlike Kapil\u2019s sit down comedy, IGL sees contestants placed on an unconventional performance attempting to impress the judges and emerge the winner. While a few contestants have managed to win hearts or make the news, the show\u2019s guest judges have also stole the highlight. <\/p>\n
IGL Now A Movie Promotion Platform?<\/h3>\n
Within the 4 episodes released, India\u2019s Got Latent Season 2 has seen the promotions of two movies \u2013 Alpha and Bhai Tera Star Hai, each directly and not directly. Let\u2019s elaborate. The show\u2019s opening episode features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as their guest judges. While the promotions of the YRF spy motion thriller was the foremost focus of the show (like the way it\u2019s done on The Great Indian Kapil Show), Alia wearing an \u2018Alpha\u2019 for nearly your complete episode made sure the film got the highlight without it actually being pushed down the audiences\u2019 throats. <\/p>\n
<\/blockquote>\nAnd now, in episode 4, Samay and the makers have done it over again. This time as well, without out-and-out promoting Raghav Juyal\u2019s soon-to-release Bhai Tera Star Hai, the host made sure all who tuned in to look at the show knew in regards to the film\u2019s release. The truth is, Samay just about gave the film a shout out by when he and Raghav roasted Alpha underperforming on the box office. <\/p>\n
One a part of the episode saw Raghav Juyal promoting his film saying, \u201cMeri film aarahi hai Bhai Tera Star Hai bahut\u2026\u201d<\/em> Interupting him, Samay interjected, \u201cKitni baar khudhi hi batana padega dost.
