custody in the meanwhile.<\/p>\n<p>Following a closed-door hearing Tuesday, the Belgian federal prosecutor\u2019s office said the suspect would proceed to be held in pretrial detention.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor\u2019s office announced Saturday that \u201ca Canadian national of Chinese origin\u201d had been arrested on charges of espionage and participation in a criminal organization.<\/p>\n<div
