You\u2019ve got to type of persuade them to make that occur.<\/p>\n

So the, the very quick update with respect to Xhekaj and the Canadians, despite interest from other teams, trade interest from other teams, and I mean Philadelphia has been one, and so they\u2019ve had interest in him for the last couple of years. Still the case now, but nothing type of imminent on that front just yet.<\/p>\n

After which contractually, established order, they\u2019ll proceed to go forwards and backwards to attempt to see in the event that they can bridge whatever their gap is. Each side are being very quiet on that side.\u201d<\/p>\n

NHLRumors.com note<\/em>: Arber Xhekay is coming off a two-year cope with a $1.3 million AAV, and is offer sheet eligible. The 25-year-old defenseman played in 65 games last season, his fourth season within the NHL. Offense isn\u2019t his game, only 4 points last 12 months, but he racked up 116 penalty minutes and 159 hits.<\/p>\n

For years, teams have desired to trade for Xhekaj and the Canadiens have at all times said they weren\u2019t eager about trading him. The Canadiens are still trying to add a top-six forward. Would they consider putting Xhekaj in a package for a top-six forward?<\/p>\n
