The person accused of intentionally running over and killing boxer Hannah Rapp<\/strong> has reportedly been issued bonds set at greater than $1 million.<\/p>\n

In keeping with a Tuesday, July 28, report by CBS affiliate KBTX<\/em><\/a>, Charles Medina<\/strong>, 31, appeared in a Texas hearing that morning where a judge set bonds for his \u201ccurrent case and \u2026 charges he was already out on bond for\u201d in light of the July 18 death of Rapp. Bonds reportedly totaled $1,229,000.<\/p>\n

Us<\/em> has reached out to Medina\u2019s lawyer for comment.<\/p>\n

The outlet broke down each individual bond\u2019s amount, with $500,000 set for \u201caggravated assault with a deadly weapon\u201d and $250,000 set for \u201cmanslaughter\u201d in relation to Rapp\u2019s death after she was hit while riding her bike in College Station, Texas. She was 26 years old.<\/p>\n

A further bond for \u201ccriminal mischief\u201d was set at $25,000 and dated Tuesday, July 21 \u2014 the day Medina was arrested \u2014 while one other bond for $250,000 was set for \u201cdeadly conduct \u2013 bond revocation\u201d and not using a disclosed date.<\/p>\n

Two other bonds stemmed from alleged historic charges: \u201cevading arrest\u201d on March 17, 2025, and \u201cdeadly conduct\u201d on February 14, 2024.<\/p>\n

In keeping with the outlet, Medina\u2019s legal team had requested that their client be issued bonds set at \u201c$50,000 on each of his charges,\u201d with Medina\u2019s attorney, Sarah Wilkinson,<\/strong> stating in court that the bonds set \u201cwere excessive.\u201d<\/p>\n

Medina is accused of fatally striking Rapp after passing two cyclists on the morning of her death before stopping, reversing and striking one among them, later identified as Rapp, who died at a neighborhood hospital.<\/p>\n

Within the wake of the incident, Brazos County Sheriff\u2019s Office issued a Facebook statement. \u201cOn Saturday, July 18, 2026, just before 10:00 a.m., deputies with the Brazos County Sheriff\u2019s Office were dispatched to the 2300 block of FM 150 in reference to a significant crash involving a vehicle and a bicyclist,\u201d it read. \u201cInitial reports indicated that a vehicle had struck a bicyclist, leaving an adult female lying within the roadway. First responders arrived on scene and provided emergency medical care before the victim was transported to a neighborhood hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later passed away on the hospital.\u201d<\/p>\n
