LOS ANGELES\u2014 Breanna Stewart had 29 points and Sabrina Ionescu scored 27 to assist the Latest York Liberty hold off the Los Angeles Sparks 113-109 within the WNBA on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

Stewart made 11 of 19 shots and scored 19 points within the second half after Latest York (16-12) trailed 56-53 on the break. She added seven assists, 4 rebounds and 4 steals.<\/p>\n

Ionescu shot 9 for 16 with five 3-pointers and had 14 points in the primary quarter to assist the Liberty lead 36-30.<\/p>\n

Rebekah Gardner finished with 15 points for Latest York and fellow reserves Han Xu and Marine Fauthoux each scored 13.<\/p>\n

Rae Burrell had 24 points to steer Los Angeles (10-17), which has lost six straight and nine of 11. Nneka Ogwumike chipped in with 21 points and nine assists after posting 4 straight double-doubles.<\/p>\n

Burrell sank a 3-pointer to place the Sparks up 81-74, but Stewart hit a floater to complete a quarter-ending 11-4 run and the Liberty led by some extent heading into the fourth.<\/p>\n

Fauthoux hit two straight 3s for a 93-86 advantage and Latest York maintained a two-possession lead for nearly all the final eight minutes.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
