Ian Machado Garry has earned his first shot at gold on mixed martial arts\u2019 biggest stage, having defeated each Carlos Prates and Belal Muhammad in 2025.<\/p>\n

<\/figure>\n

He’ll ride that winning streak into the UFC 330 fundamental event in Philadelphia, where Garry is ready to challenge Islam Makhachev within the Dagestani\u2019s first defense at 170 kilos.<\/p>\n

The Irishman has been ramping up his media appearances ahead of the August numbered event. As has been the case up to now, Garry\u2019s words have riled up some fans and fighters.<\/p>\n

Brendan Schaub is just not having fun with Ian Machado Garry\u2019s pre-UFC 330 media run<\/h2>\n

Garry\u2019s personality has been an enormous talking point lately, a discussion accentuated by some lies spread about his personal life.<\/p>\n

The Irish welterweight is no longer wanting haters, they usually were quick to leap on his recent remarks concerning the world being a greater place if it were ruled by women.<\/p>\n

Brendan Schaub was the most recent to criticize the comments, and he went so far as to suggest that Garry should \u201cnot be allowed\u201d to discuss things unrelated to his fighting profession.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod rattling he\u2019s bad, and these cuck outlets he\u2019s occurring,\u201d Schaub said in a video posted on his\u00a0X<\/a> account.<\/p>\n

\u201cDo the UFC fanbase? I\u2019m like, yeah, he\u2019s trolling when he\u2019s like, \u2018The world could be so a lot better if the world was run by women.\u2019 I\u2019m sure you and your wife speak about things at night, that doesn\u2019t mean it is best to use it to advertise a cage fight against the pound-for-pound No. 1 guy on the planet.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe should only be allowed to speak about fighting,\u201d he continued. \u201c how people tell Lebron James, \u2018Shut up and dribble,\u2019 I never agreed with that. I\u2019m like, come on, man. They\u2019re people, too. You bought to allow them to express themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil I heard Ian Garry do an interview. (Now) I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, shut up and fight,\u2019 since you\u2019re turning everybody off and no person\u2019s buying this. No person\u2019s buying the schtick. No person.\u201d<\/p>\n

The UFC 330 title challenger\u2019s recent run has proved that he won\u2019t let discourse outside of the Octagon distract him and affect his performances contained in the Octagon.<\/p>\n

Garry\u2019s victory over Prates has aged particularly well in recent months, and a few are pointing to the Irishman\u2019s strong display against Shavkat Rakhmonov as evidence that he has what it takes to upset Makhachev.<\/p>\n
