Former India assistant coach <\/span>Ryan ten Doeschate<\/span> has rejoined the <\/span>Knight Riders<\/span> franchise after being appointed because the <\/span>Head of Cricket Strategy<\/span> at Knight Riders Sports. In his recent position, the previous Netherlands all-rounder can be answerable for shaping the cricketing strategy across the franchise\u2019s global teams.<\/span><\/p>\n The appointment comes soon after the conclusion of his two-year stint with the Indian team, which ended following the white-ball tour of England. Ten Doeschate opted not to increase his contract with the national side.<\/span><\/p>\n As Head of Cricket Strategy, he’ll oversee key areas including <\/span>cricket strategy, talent scouting, player recruitment, squad planning, and performance evaluation<\/span> across the Knight Riders network. He may also collaborate closely with the coaching staff to ascertain a consistent cricketing philosophy throughout the franchise.<\/span><\/p>\n Aside from his strategic responsibilities, ten Doeschate will tackle coaching duties as an <\/span>assistant coach<\/span> for <\/span>Trinbago Knight Riders<\/span> within the Caribbean Premier League, <\/span>Abu Dhabi Knight Riders<\/span> within the ILT20, and <\/span>Los Angeles Knight Riders<\/span> in Major League Cricket.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe’re delighted to welcome Tendo back to the Knight Riders family,\u201d Knight Riders Sports CEO Venky Mysore said. \u201cHis deep understanding of our philosophy, combined together with his experience across franchise and international cricket, makes him ideally fitted to this role. He’ll help shape the following phase of growth across the Knight Riders ecosystem.\u201d<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Ten Doeschate said he was excited to return to the Knight Riders setup. \u201cIt is a unique opportunity to work with the coaching and analytics teams across our global franchises to strengthen our scouting and player development systems, and to construct a long-term cricket strategy,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Ryan ten Doeschate\u2018s return to the Knight Riders setup comes as little surprise after he informed the <\/span>BCCI<\/span> earlier this month of his decision to step down as India\u2019s assistant coach. <\/span>In accordance with reports, ten Doeschate stepped down for private reasons after completing his two-year stint, opting to spend more time together with his family in London.<\/p>\n Ten Doeschate\u2019s association with the Knight Riders dates back to <\/span>2011<\/span>, when he joined <\/span>Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)<\/span>as a player.
