After losing at AEW Redemption 2026 in his tag team match with Will Ospreay against The Young Bucks, Jon Moxley desired to bounce back in style on the July 29 episode of “AEW Dynamite.” He had the duty of grounding the high-flying Komander along with his AEW Continental Championship on the road, and after a back-and-forth bout, Moxley left Detroit, Michigan along with his title in hand.<\/p>\n
Moxley used his strength within the early going to maintain Komander from taking to the air, however the challenger would use his speed to create far. He sent the champion to the skin and attempted the Tightrope Spaceman Plancha but Moxley moved out of the best way. Nevertheless, Komander thought on his feet and hit a Tope Suicida because the match entered the business break. Through the break, Komander’s period of control was short-lived as Moxley used his strikes to knock the wind out of the challenger, and once the motion returned to the ring, Moxley would use the ring ropes to maintain Komander down.<\/p>\n
Coming out of the break, Moxley tried submitting Komander however the challenger would fan the flames of with some strikes back on the feet. He was cut off by Moxley but almost got a fast pin with a roll up, with the champion missing a Splash within the corner which allowed Komander to hit a Missile Dropkick. A Crossbody would earn Komander a two-count and he tried to follow up with a Moonsault, but after rolling through with a Cartwheel and a Backflip, Moxley flipped him the bird and hit a Cutter because the match hit the ten minute mark. The champion got caught up within the ropes and was hit with a Guillotine Leg\u00a0Drop from Komander who continued the attack with a 450 Splash which Moxley kicked out of.<\/p>\n
Komander would land the Tightrope Spaceman Plancha but missed the Cielito Lindo when the motion returned to the ring, and Moxley acted quickly to hit a Stomp, the Death Rider, and a Rear Naked Choke to get the submission victory.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/article><\/div>\n
