The Real Housewives of Recent York City<\/em> alum Dorinda Medley<\/strong> is selling a portion of her iconic Blue Stone Manor mansion.<\/p>\n

People<\/a><\/em> reported on Thursday, July 30, that Medley, 61, is selling just below 3.7 acres of her estate in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, for $1.2 million. The land comes with its own private entrance and access road, and is surrounded by protected conservation land on the edges.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce you\u2019re on this property, it\u2019s unlike anything you\u2019ve ever experienced,\u201d Medley told the magazine. \u201cI all the time say, the minute I’m going through the gates, time just stops. You allow the whole lot behind. It\u2019s such as you\u2019ve entered into an entire different world. It\u2019s peaceful and calm and restorative, in a way words can\u2019t do justice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dorinda explained that she had the property professionally surveyed for the primary time since her late husband, Richard Medley<\/strong>, purchased it in 2005, which led her to comprehend that the house actually sat on nearly 20 acres.<\/p>\n

\u201cI believed to myself, \u2018Why do I want 20 acres?\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019d been blissful with nine! Now I came upon I owned 19 and a half! It just felt excessive. And I believed to myself, \u2018I don\u2019t wish to pay all these taxes on this land I\u2019m not even using.\u2019 It felt wasteful, since the land I own is to date away from the home. I don\u2019t use the land like they did when the house was first built. It isn\u2019t necessarily for the property anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dorinda previously believed that the land had been owned by another person.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m going on quite a lot of long walks, especially in the autumn. And for years and years, I\u2019d been walking on that land pondering I used to be trespassing on another person\u2019s property the entire time!\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019d say to anyone who was with me, \u2018We\u2019re gonna walk the horse trails, but I don\u2019t know who owns it, so we gotta be quick.\u2019 Seems, it\u2019s me! I own it!\u201d<\/p>\n
