Could the Right to Censor work today, a long time after the infamous group disbanded on WWE programming? Former member Bull Buchanan thinks so.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Steven Richards-led group got here together in 2000 and sought to impose its will on WWE TV, stopping violence and sexual content.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chatting with \u201cThe A2theK Wrestling Show,\u201d Buchanan, the second member of the group after Richards, spoke of a modern-day revival. He said,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201c[When asked if the faction could work today.] Oh, yeah. I don\u2019t know whether we\u2019d be heels or baby faces, but yeah. Definitely.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

While Buchanan believes a modern-day Right to Censor could work, he doesn\u2019t see himself donning the white shirt and black pants again. He said,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI hate to say this, nevertheless it would probably must be a younger generation. I just don\u2019t think we will do that anymore like we used to, a minimum of on my part.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The faction would hold the WWE Tag Team Titles (Buchanan and The Goodfather) while Ivory would have a reign as WWE Women\u2019s Champion.<\/p>\n

For Buchanan, the important thing to RTC\u2019s success as heat magnets was easy:or they were taking away what the fans desired to see. He said,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were taking all of it. We took The Godfather\u2019s girls away, we took away Val. We were attempting to we were messing with Chyna right after her Playboy deal. We were telling Austin they couldn\u2019t drink beer. <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the Attitude Era, so everybody had some form of vice on TV and and that just gave us an countless amount of folks that we could mess with.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The RTC was WWE\u2019s parody of the Parents Television Council (PTC) which actively campaigned against the promotion within the late Nineties.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2000, WWE filed a lawsuit against the PTC, alleging that the PTC had used false claims to sabotage the wrestling promotion\u2019s business relations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One claim was that 14-year-old Lionel Tate had killed a six-year-old girl through the use of skilled wrestling moves seen on WWE programming<\/p>\n

The case resulted in July 2002 with the WWE winning. The PTC paid $3.5 million and issued a public apology and a retraction, admitting the Tate claim was a lie.<\/p>\n

After the faction\u2019s end, Buchanan was rebranded as B2 (B-Squared) in 2002 and made a bodyguard for John Cena before departing the WWE in January 2003.<\/p>\n
