UFC star Paddy Pimblett would want Gable Steveson\u2019s wrestling skills ahead of Islam Makhachev<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Islam Makhachev has lost just once in his 29-fight skilled MMA profession and the UFC welterweight champion has picked up 13 victories through submission.<\/p>\n

Despite the Dagestan-born fighter\u2019s sublime wrestling skills, Paddy Pimblett has turned his attention to talented UFC heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson.<\/p>\n

Gable Steveson, a five-time All-American in collegiate wrestling, has been training under the tutelage of future UFC Hall of Famer Jon Jones in his fledgling MMA run.<\/p>\n

Pimblett released his YouTube vlog<\/a> from UFC 329 and Steveson didn’t pass up the chance to probe the Liverpool-born fighter\u2019s praise for his MMA abilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan I ask you a matter? They asked when you could have someone\u2019s skill set, did you say me?\u201d Steveson asked Pimblett.<\/p>\n

Pimblett subsequently responded: \u201cYeah, you\u2019re wrestling? F\u2014\u2014 hell, lad. I wish I could wrestle such as you. that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Responding to Pimblett\u2019s latest praise, Steveson added: \u201cI appreciate that \u2014 thanks for saying that!\u201d<\/p>\n

Gable Steveson\u2019s early impact in MMA after the Olympian linked up with UFC icon Jon Jones<\/h2>\n

Gable Steveson signed for the UFC back in April and the heavyweight freestyle wrestler made his debut in Dana White\u2019s organisation earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old former WWE wrestler secured a shocking first-round knockout victory over Elisha Ellison at UFC 329 on the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

Steveson can be signed with Real American Freestyle and the emerging UFC heavyweight defeated Moldovan wrestler Alexander Romanov at RAF 09 in May.<\/p>\n

Speaking after UFC 329, the RAF fighter admitted in a post-fight interview that he would really like to return to the octagon in November at Madison Square Garden.<\/p>\n
