Pierce O\u2019Leary\u2019s heroic efforts weren\u2019t enough as he was stopped in ten rounds by Mark Chamberlain in front of a raucous home crowd at Dublin\u2019s 3Arena tonight.<\/strong><\/p>\n

IBO world super-lightweight champion O\u2019Leary impressed fans worldwide back in March when he packed the famed venue to the rafters for a clash with Jazza Dickens. He got the stoppage that night, but was robbed of a gathering with Chamberlain when the Brit pulled out of their initial meeting.<\/p>\n

Knowing that he was going to wish something big to get better on the scorecards, O\u2019Leary attacked well and pushed for a knockdown of his own within the fourth that didn\u2019t come. That aggressive style the Irishman brings left him open to be countered because the rounds went on, and his leaking nose was a gruesome sight.<\/p>\n

And within the seventh the roof nearly got here off the 3Arena as O\u2019Leary managed to place Chamberlain down within the corner with an enormous body shot just before the bell. It left them each with all to play for after an all-action eighth.<\/p>\n

The pace slowed ever so barely within the ninth as each men searched for something to take them into the championship rounds. Unfortunately within the tenth Chamberlain\u2019s power proved an excessive amount of as he knocked O\u2019Leary down for a 3rd and final time.<\/p>\n
