Flavio Briatore, the manager for Fernando Alonso, was recently spotted having breakfast with smiling Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.

Connections were immediately made on social media, with savvy F1 fans asserting that Alonso would soon leave Aston Martin behind and replace Hamilton at Mercedes.

Hamilton stunned F1 fans across the globe on February 2 when it was revealed that he can be joining Charles Leclerc in Ferrari red for the 2025 season.

“What y’all doing, negotiating the champion automotive for Alonso in 2025?” one fan commented.

“THINGS ARE HAPPENING,” a second fan posted.

Alonso has stated that he is concentrated on his current ride with Aston Martin, which finished fourth within the 2023 Constructor standings with 280 points.

Mercedes was second with 409 points, while third-place Ferrari just behind at 406.

Red Bull absolutely dominated the game, taking the highest spot with 860 points.

Alonso is one of the respected drivers on the circuit and won back-to-back F1 Driver championships with Renault within the mid 2000s.

Together with his contract set to run out with Aston Martin after the 2024 season, speculation is already constructing concerning the racing future for Alonso, who will turn 43 in July.
