Pakistani actress Mahira Khan enjoys a large fan following in India. Her Bollywood film Raees with Shah Rukh Khan earned the Humsafar actress lots of praise. Nevertheless, she went through a difficult phase when a photograph of her smoking a cigarette with Ranbir Kapoor went viral.
Within the photo, she was seen in a white backless dress with a cigarette in her hand. Ranbir, who stood in front of her in casuals, was also seen smoking. The actress received lots of flak from her outfit as well. Talking in regards to the incident, Mahira recalled, “When the photos got here on the market was an article called ‘The Little White Dress’ that was published in BBC and I did not see the brilliance of that article at the moment. In truth, I believe I could have. I remember reading it and pondering, ‘Is my profession over?’ In that article, it was written that ‘here is a girl who has achieved this type of success that nobody in Pakistan has achieved, all of the endorsements and all that, and now it’s all gone. What’s going to occur to her?’ I read it and I used to be like ‘Rattling.'”
She continued, “But I told myself, ‘Are you mad? That is going to finish,’ possibly it was the 14-year-old Mahira that told me. But I won’t lie that that point was very tough. I would not get off the bed, I used to be crying every day, it affected my skilled and private life. Lots happened on my personal side.”
