The English singer, whose real name is Seal Henry Olusegun Olumide Adeola Samuel, transformed into the marine mammal for Mountain Dew’s recent business, set to air during Super Bowl LIX. Seal, 61, spoke to Us Weekly exclusively in regards to the business, which incorporates him serenading singer Becky G together with his song “Kiss From a Rose,” rewritten with Mountain-Dew-themed lyrics and dubbed “Kiss From a Lime.”

Seal released the unique “Kiss From a Rose,” in 1994 and it topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1995. Thirty years later, it’s arguably his best-known song, but originally, the singer didn’t need to release it in any respect. He wrote the song in 1987 but didn’t “particularly prefer it,” so he kept it off his debut album in 1991.
“I just wouldn’t play it to anyone,” he said.
Seal himself won’t be home to see “Kiss From a Lime” premiere through the Super Bowl. He plans to be at the sport between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles in Latest Orleans, but together with his San Francisco 49ers not participating, he doesn’t care who wins.
“I’ll be rooting for an awesome game,” he said. “I just need to see an awesome game, which fortunately they’ve been in recent times. They’ve been really great games. I used to be crushed last yr when my 49ers didn’t win.”
