Obviously, we ended up compensating her because, like, for those who’re missing work, she has to get a dog sitter, all that,” Kuch said. “Which feels weird to even say. Well, I’m not attempting to put out her business. She didn’t ask for payment. But I felt bad, you’re missing work and all this.”

Kuch said it was “making the perfect of a situation” where they’d to bring Scottie along on the trip and take away her from her “routine” and “out of her environment.”

“No less than she got to spend time together with her aunt, her Titi,” Kuch said. “Literally, she learned the word Titi after this trip. My sister lives in San Diego so, like, she sees my sister on a regular basis, but I really like that my sister was in a position to spend that much time together with her.”
