During a recent appearance on the “Huge Pop” podcast, Naomi expressed her desire to collaborate along with her husband, Jimmy Uso, and The Bloodline on WWE television.
Naomi said, “Absolutely. Earlier in my profession, I sort of tried to steer clear of that simply to define myself individually. Now, I definitely think I’ve done that and I’ve had one hell of a journey in wrestling and before it’s all said and done, I might like to do something more and greater than we’ve got, either with the family, but most significantly, with Jimmy on screen. We’ve had our moments throughout our careers doing fun stuff together, but never anything significant. It could work now, possibly.”
During a recent appearance at Monopoly Events’ For The Love of Wrestling convention, JDC (formerly Fandango) discussed returning to WWE and dealing with Lexis King on the NXT brand.
JDC said, “TNA has a working agreement, a three-year take care of NXT and WWE. So just a few weeks ago, I used to be having dinner with my family, and a few friends over in WWE called they usually said, ‘Hey, are you able to be in Orlando for TV next week?’ I said, ‘Sure, in fact.’ They brought me in to do a program with Lexis King. I’m an enormous fan of his character, he’s very intriguing. He has a novel ability to speak on the microphone, which is admittedly hard. Either you could have it otherwise you don’t. So his character could be very intriguing, and I assumed our characters would mesh [well] together on the stick. So that they brought me in for the primary week. I used to be slightly nervous about people sort of remembering me. The Fandango music hit, [the reaction] gave me goosebumps. It was an emotional day for me. Being out of WWE for 4 years, to return, and I used to be with the corporate for 15 years…So I did the promo segment week one. Got here back, had a match last week for the Heritage Cup. Really good match. Good to see everybody. WWE, you see people on a regular basis. It’s a routine, it’s sort of like Groundhog Day. Then you definately leave that environment, come back, and it seems like all the pieces’s just sort of the identical where you left it. The machine just keeps rolling on.”
