Housefull 5: A murder, a ship and Akshay Kumar’s comedy chaos — Prepare for Bollywood’s wildest whodunit
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “As everyone knows that Housefull 5 is ready on a cruise ship. The film is largely a murder mystery. A murder takes place on the ship and all of the actors present within the film are suspects. Two of the actors play cops and while they fight to search out who the murderer is, the makers promise a variety of laughter and madness.”
Recently, pictures of Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff posing in police uniform from Housefull 5 sets were out and it’s sure to present rise to speculations on whether these two veteran actors are playing the role of the investigators.
Interestingly, the concept of a murder going down on a ship was seen recently in two Hollywood movies – Death On The Nile (2022) and Murder Mystery (2019). The source, nevertheless, assured, “Identical to Death On The Nile and Murder Mystery are different from one another, so is Housefull 5. The makers have added a variety of desi-style entertainment. Furthermore, with Sajid Nadiadwala on the helm of affairs, he has taken every care to be certain that Housefull 5 seems to be an original and one-of-its-kind comedy flick of Indian cinema.”
Housefull 5 is directed by Tarun Mansukhani of Dostana (2008) fame and releases on Bakri Eid, on June 6, 2025.
