Vidarbha all-rounder Harsh Dubey set a brand new all-time record for essentially the most wickets in a single Ranji Trophy season on the third day of the continuing 2024/25 final between Vidarbha and Kerala. The summit clash is happening in Nagpur, where each teams are vying for the distinguished title.
Dubey claimed two wickets within the morning session on Day 3, bringing his season tally to 68 and equaling the previous record. Later, in the ultimate session of the day, he dismissed MD Nideesh, surpassing the milestone with 69 wickets.
With 69 wickets, Harsh Dubey now holds the record for essentially the most wickets in a single Ranji Trophy season. The previous record of 68 wickets was set by Bihar’s left-arm spinner Ashutosh Aman within the 2018/19 season.
In the continuing season, Dubey leads the bowling charts with 69 wickets from 10* matches, averaging 16.98 with a strike rate of 38.17. His impressive performances include three four-wicket hauls and 7 five-wicket hauls (stats as of Day 3), making him the very best wicket-taker of the season.

Vidarbha secure vital 37-run lead over Kerala after Day 3 of Ranji Trophy 2024/25 final
At the top of Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy 2024/25 final, Vidarbha held a narrow but significant 37-run lead after dismissing Kerala for 342. With the ball, Darshan Nalkande, Harsh Dubey, and Parth Rekhade each claimed three wickets. For Kerala, Sachin Baby was the highest scorer, narrowly missing a century with a well-compiled 98.
Earlier, Vidarbha posted a complete of 379 of their first innings, powered by a superb century from Danish Malewar. He played a composed knock of 153 off 285 deliveries, striking 15 fours and three sixes.
As Day 4 approaches, Kerala face a difficult task of bowling Vidarbha out swiftly to establish a chase. With only two days left within the match, they’re under pressure to maintain their hopes alive for a maiden Ranji Trophy title.
