‘Dangerous guy’… Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall predicted by ranked heavyweight set to fight at UFC London

Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall is probably the most eagerly anticipated UFC fight of 2025.

Talks for the champion vs champion heavyweight clash have been ongoing since ‘Bones’ knocked out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November.

UFC boss Dana White recently revealed the actual reason he’s yet to announce the matchup.

It seems Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall just have to choose a date and site before their fight becomes official.

Mick Parkin predicts Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall

Jones is widely thought to be the best fighter of all time after a virtually perfect profession in MMA.

The one mark on his record got here when he suffered a controversial DQ defeat to Matt Hamill in 2009.

Still, #13 ranked UFC heavyweight Mick Parkin expects him to fall short against Aspinall.

The 29-year-old has sparred Aspinall countless times and knows just how good he’s.

“Jon Jones is amazing, he’s no easy challenge – but he’s perhaps not training as intense,” Parkin told Bloody Elbow.

“I don’t know this, this is totally guessing looking from the surface. It doesn’t appear like he trains as much, he’s definitely a bit bit older, and it’s definitely the time to beat him, if there’s a time.

“Tom is just going from strength to strength and he’s just probably the most dangerous guy. Just the best way he moves and the whole lot. He’s a giant guy, he’s really, really fast, and he’s coming into his prime now.

“I do think he’d beat Jon Jones.”

Will Mick Parkin ever fight Tom Aspinall?

Parkin is ready to face long-time contender Marcin Tybura within the hardest test of his profession at UFC London on March 22.

A win would see the Englishman crack the heavyweight top 10 and put a title shot within sight.

In fact, Parkin expects Aspinall to be the person reigning over his division at the tip of 2025.

Nevertheless, he’d only be willing to fight his training partner in the event that they each made an obscene amount of cash.

“I’ve still got to beat Tybura,” Parkin added.

“Then there’s potentially still 10 more guys I’ve got to fight to get there.

“So, it’s still a great distance off for me. Unless it was for crazy money, I probably wouldn’t be fighting Tom.”
