Mumbai Indians’ Rohit Sharma has joined the legendary Virat Kohli to grow to be the second Indian batter to attain 12000 runs in T20 games. He achieved this feat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday.
Rohit now joins the likes of Virat Kohli, David Warner, Chris Gayle and a couple of others to be amongst the rare few batters to have scored 12000 runs within the shortest format. An enormous chunk of his runs have come through the IPL, where he represented the Deccan Chargers briefly, followed by his move to the Mumbai Indians in 2011.
After having a lean patch through the primary few games of the season, Rohit seems to have rediscovered his best form as he continues to go on a run-scoring spree at a fast rate in Mumbai Indians’ batting innings.
He now opts to go hard within the powerplay and play the role of the aggressor to provide MI the proper start needed, albeit it hasn’t all the time gone his way in the continuing season.

SRH were removed from their best within the batting front as a top-order batting collapse to 35/5, it took Heinrich Klaasen’s knock to see SRH avoid a whole blowout.
Klaasen struck nine fours and two sixes for his 44-ball 71, putting on 99 for the sixth wicket with impact substitute Abhinav Manohar, who played a gentle second fiddle along with his 37-ball 43 (2x4s, 3x6s).
However it was a harrowing start for SRH who’re placed second-last on the points table and face an uphill battle to maintain themselves alive.
The shortage of confidence was evident when SRH’s top-order crumbled with none apparent pressure on a dry, hard and flat deck.
Klaasen didn’t get much assistance from the opposite end as Manohar, sent as an impact substitute, crawled to at least one off seven balls before his first big hit.
Klaasen’s resistance resulted in the penultimate over when Jasprit Bumrah (1/39) had him caught by Tilak Varma for his three hundredth T20 wicket, while Manohar fell to Boult within the last.
