Anthony Gordon is prepared to depart Newcastle United this summer amid interest from Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

The England international emerged as a transfer goal for the Gunners last 12 months with a brand new left winger more likely to be high upon Mikel Arteta’s shopping list at the top of the present season.

Bayern Munich are also desirous to bolster their attack and after the success of Harry Kane, Luis Diaz and Michael Olise, at the moment are targeting one other Premier League import.

While Gordon has not told the club he wants to depart, the previous Everton star is keen to explore his options and discover a recent challenge this summer, the Every day Telegraph reports.

The 25-year-old hopes to resolve his future before England’s World Cup campaign begins in June.

The report states Gordon has not told the club he wishes to depart but the sensation inside Newcastle is that a move is now on the cards with bids expected.

Reports within the German media have claimed Bayern will look to sign Gordon for a fee of around £60million. Newcastle signed Gordon from Everton for £45m three years ago with their asking price this summer more likely to exceed £80m.

Liverpool were also considering signing Gordon two years ago nevertheless it stays to be seen whether or not they rekindle that interest.

Gordon is a boyhood Liverpool fan and would jump at the possibility to affix the club who might want to revamp their attacking options this summer with Mohamed Salah leaving and Hugo Eikitike facing an extended spell on the sidelines.
