“I’ve got like 4 and a half weeks and I don’t know anything about boxing,” Larratt recalled. “I in a short time was like ‘what’s the perfect gym?’ I am going to Tristar, I move in for like four-and-a-half weeks and I’m just getting beat up each day for four-and-a-half weeks.
“And I loved it, really. I loved every minute since it was super humbling and I had so way more respect – I all the time had mad respect for boxing and I believe it’s a brilliant cool sport – but I even have so way more respect for it now.
“I went into that gym and the degrees were so high. To grow to be an elite boxer is a lot work and a lot talent. To be great at any sport requires a lifetime of labor really for 99.9 per cent of individuals. Sometimes life throws you a possibility and also you’ve got to take it.”
