WWE has come under fire from the family of late Hall of Famer Sid Eudy after his induction into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Sid’s son, Gunnar Eudy, posted a scathing message on Facebook calling WWE’s handling of his father’s Legacy Wing induction “disappointing” and “disrespectful.”
Gunnar said there have been no ads for Sid in Las Vegas and no Sid merchandise on the Hall of Fame gift shop, while Dennis Rodman items were heavily featured. He felt WWE treated Sid like a footnote and rushed through his moment.
Gunnar added that his son still got to see his grandfather honored and shared photos of Sid’s Hall of Fame ring, but said the night mostly felt like a slap within the face. He also argued that Sid deserved a full, standalone induction, given his status as a former WWE and WCW world champion and a WrestleMania headliner. Gunnar wrote,
“Thanks to everyone for all of the love and support you’ve shown our family. It means the world, and I appreciate each one who had my dad’s back.
Last night’s so-called ‘Hall of Fame induction’ for my father, Sid Eudy ‘Sycho Sid’ ‘Sid Vicious’ was straight up disappointing and disrespectful as hell. I’m glad my dad was large enough to place himself over even in death, because WWE rattling sure wouldn’t.
I didn’t see one single ad for him here in Vegas. The Hall of Fame gift shop had zero merch for my dad not a rattling thing, But they were loaded with all of the Dennis Rodman crap you can want. It felt like they only swept him under the rug like a footnote, rushing to get him out of the way in which.
Perhaps if we had waited one other 20 years until all those jealous, insecure ex-colleagues were gone you realize those who could never match his athletic ability, his looks, or his unbreakable will power to inform them “no” he would’ve finally gotten the complete induction he actually deserved.
Still, I’m attempting to stay positive for my son’s sake: I got to bring him, and he doesn’t know they did his grandpa dirty. He just got to see his hero honored. That moment with my boy made it value it. And no less than we walked away with the true Hall of Fame ring I’m adding pictures of it here because that’s something solid we will actually hold onto while the remainder of this felt like a slap within the face.
Rest in power, Dad. The Master and Ruler of the World got his flowers… even when WWE tried to shortchange you one last time. They were at all times jealous. 💪🖤
