BKB Bare Knuckle have added top boxing prospects the Vargas brothers Fernando Jr and Amado to their stable.
The duo are sons of the legendary two-time super-welterweight world champion Fernando Vargas, and have amassed impressive records of their very own. They’re each of their 20s, and join a number of boxers including Paulie Malignaggi and Victor Ortiz in removing the gloves.

Fernando Jr co-headlined Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford at Allegiant Stadium last 12 months when he went the gap with Callum Walsh. And Amado famously ended Deen The Great’s undefeated run in Dubai back in December.

While bare knuckle boxing has been seen as something of a retirement home for aging fighters prior to now, this signing is a really different style of deal. Each of their 20s, the Vargas brothers are still very much of their primes and coming directly off massive fights.
Neither has booked a fight date yet, but an announcement is imminent. David Tetreault, CEO of BKB Bare Knuckle, said in a press release today: “Signing each Fernando Jr. and Amado is a significant addition to our roster.
“These are two athletes of their physical prime, hungry for fulfillment – they usually see BKB as the proper opportunity to realize this. BKB goes mainstream and the Vargas brothers will play an enormous part in driving us there.”

In the identical statement, Fernando said: “My brothers and I are in our prime and we see BKB as the longer term of combat sports.
