Along with two UFC titles, a shot at gold may also be on the road in Washington D.C.

The UFC Octagon will land within the American capital this summer for a highly anticipated event on the White House lawn.

A pair of championship fights will close out the cardboard on June 14. Alex Pereira moves as much as heavyweight with interim gold on the road against Ciryl Gane before Ilia Topuria returns to unify the lightweight belts against Justin Gaethje.

While no other contests will boast title stakes, a few athletes could have the prospect to be certain that their next fight post-UFC White House does.

Aiemann Zahabi confirms Sean O’Malley fight at UFC White House will probably be a title eliminator

The ultimate undercard fight before the headlining title fights on the White House will see former bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley face Aiemann Zahabi.

The Canadian contender has gotten the nod to fight ‘Suga’ over Cory Sandhagen, who has accused O’Malley of running from their fight.

Zahabi has won seven fights in a row, and through a recent Q&A ahead of Saturday’s UFC Winnipeg event, he recalled how the fight got here together and revealed confirmation of its status as a title eliminator.

“Hunter Campbell called my brother Firas and asked how he thinks the fight would go, me versus Sean O’Malley,” Zahabi said.

“He said, ‘It’s gonna be fireworks. They each fight as best they will they usually each show out each time they get a probability to fight within the Octagon.’

“We didn’t get confirmation, so I didn’t know that I had got it officially,” he continued. “I didn’t know if it was gonna be me versus Sean O’Malley on the White House or Cory Sandhagen.

“We discover out similar to everybody else. They usually added that it was a title eliminator. So if I beat Sean O’Malley, I’m gonna be fighting Petr Yan for the title.”

The June 14 card did recently extend with the addition of Josh Hokit’s heavyweight fight against Derrick Lewis.

That bout was made on the request of President Donald Trump, who questioned Lewis’ absence while attending UFC 327 in Miami last Saturday.

Dana White has said the lineup is now finalized, unless Trump personally requests one other addition.
