On the March 30 episode of Monday Night RAW, GUNTHER made his return and took out Seth Rollins, stopping him from attacking Paul Heyman.
“The Ring General” then challenged Rollins to a singles match at WrestleMania 42, however the confrontation also got here with a twist, as GUNTHER told Heyman that he now owed him a “favor.” At WWE WrestleMania 42 (Night One), GUNTHER went on to defeat Rollins.
The next night at WrestleMania 42 (Night Two), Oba Femi scored a significant victory over Brock Lesnar. After the match, Lesnar left his boots within the ring — a gesture that traditionally hints at retirement.
With Lesnar’s status now uncertain, GUNTHER’s favor from Heyman looms even larger, leaving the door open for him to call it in at any moment.
As we previously reported here on eWn, there had been an internal expectation inside WWE that Lesnar would retire on the 2026 SummerSlam pay-per-view event. This event will happen in his hometown of Minneapolis, MN.
