Steven Gerrard has named Paris Saint-Germain as his pick to win the Champions League this season.
PSG ran out 5-4 winners over Bayern Munich in an exciting first leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.
Arsenal and Atletico Madrid had a troublesome act to follow on Wednesday evening and so they cancelled one another out with a 1-1 draw on the Metropolitano Stadium.
Speaking after PSG’s victory against Bayern, four-time Champions League winner Clarence Seedorf claimed Arsenal’s solid defence puts them as frontrunners to win the competition this season.
But Gerrard, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, believes PSG will see off Bayern within the semi-final and go on to beat either Arsenal or Atletico Madrid to win the tournament for a second successive season.

When asked who he would put his money on to win the Champions League, Gerrard said on TNT Sports: ‘It’s been on PSG because the starting.
‘I haven’t had a bet financially but my selection was PSG. The ultimate last yr, I just think they’re so good after they’re at their best, they’re so difficult to beat.
‘I believe it’s kidology from Luis Enrique’s standpoint because at 5-2, a coach or a manager’s position, you think that should you can get away 5-2 up it’s game over. I believe now it’s very dangerous, Bayern are able to winning the sport.
‘But I just think PSG, the possibilities Real Madrid had [against Bayern], and so they weren’t in an excellent place as a collective, PSG will go there stuffed with confidence, stuffed with belief, they’re stuffed with world-class players. I believe they’ll punish Bayern Munich going the opposite way.’
