AEW star Rebel has thanked the wrestling community for the outpouring of affection she received after revealing her ALS diagnosis.
Rebel, who has been a part of the AEW roster since 2019, announced on Saturday through an Instagram video that she has been diagnosed with ALS (also referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease).
Last night on AEW Collision, Tony Schiavone addressed the news on air and paid tribute to her in front of the live audience.
This morning, Rebel posted on her Instagram Stories to personally thank Schiavone, Tony Khan, AEW as a complete, and the fans who held up signs for her. She wrote,
“Thanks to my @aew family and @tonyrkhan and thanks to the fans for the signs. They really lift my spirits”
This shouldn’t be Rebel’s first health battle, as she was also diagnosed with lung cancer back in November.
