Jared Gordon has vowed to kick off a run towards a rematch with Paddy Pimblett – and insists that he’ll win again.
In fact, the record books show that Pimblett won their UFC 282 showdown by Unanimous Decision, but even he admits he ‘got lucky’. Since then, the Brit went on to fight for an interim world title and continued his winning streak, while Gordon has struggled to place together a run of wins and even fights.

The Recent Yorker is ready to return to the cage for the primary time since September at UFC 328 on Saturday night. He faces a legendary Recent Jersey native in Jim Miller at Prudential Center, and believes that a win could kickstart his path towards a Pimblett who he feels is ready to begin a decline.

Justin Gaethje was the person who ultimately inflicted Paddy Pimblett’s first defeat under the UFC banner back in January after they headlined the promotion’s launch on Paramount+. Nevertheless, Jared Gordon believes that he did it first.
And he desires to do it again, telling Bloody Elbow in Recent Jersey that he believes a few victories coupled with Pimblett losing – as expected – to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 329 will set them up perfectly.
“Paddy is highly regarded and he gets pushed, good for him, lucky him,” Gordon said. “Justin, I feel, is the cleaner fighter on the feet, he couldn’t take him down so it stayed there more often than not. But I didn’t think it was an excellent performance for either of them.
“I feel Justin probably feels the identical way and Paddy, obviously… The whole lot happens for a reason and I still think there’s a chance for me to fight him again. I do know he’s fighting BSD which is a very tough fight for him.
“So I beat Jim Saturday, possibly win another and I’m on a two-fight winning streak while he’s on a two-fight losing streak. I don’t think it’s too crazy to think that we could fight again and it might make sense at that time.
“Whatever happens, I even have to trust it, however it was written. I do think there’s a very good probability it could occur, I’ll push for it and I’ll beat him again.”

As only a spectator, Jared Gordon was left wanting more from Pimblett and Gaethje after they met in Vegas, adding: “I believed it was terrible, they each looked bad in that fight. They each had way higher performances before and I used to be like, , styles make fights.
Pick Paddy Pimblett’s next opponent…
“Things occur in fights where you would possibly not expect them to occur. Their styles clashing may need caused them to seem like that but I just thought it wasn’t their cleanest performances. I feel that’s just like the majority thought on that.”
