CodeWords, operated by Agemo AI Ltd., today announced it raised $9 million in seed funding led by Visionaries to construct artificial intelligence agents that don’t wait to construct automations.
Firstminute Capita, which first backed the corporate at pre-seed, also participated within the round, alongside Sequel, and Illusian, a Helsinki-based family office and enterprise platform co-founded by mobile game developer Supercell Oy Chief Executive Ilkka Paananen.
In the same old lifecycle of no-code AI-driven automations, users spend hours on tedious work and discover that they’ve something they wish to speed up. They pull up an AI tool and ask it to generate an answer.
CodeWords said that it’s attempting to upend this practice with its tool. On the core of its platform is Cody, the corporate’s AI agent, which sits within the background watching the whole lot that happens in a business: the tools, the goals and the operational patterns.
Starting day one, it begins by suggesting and constructing automations. The automations run within the background without the necessity for human interaction across 1000’s of integrations and messaging tools.
“The very best operators don’t wait to be asked. We built Cody on the identical principle — an agent that learns about what you are promoting, sees what needs doing, and delivers outcomes,” co-founder Aymeric Zhuo said.
Unlike vibe coding and agentic systems that wait for users to return to them, CodeWords said it desires to transcend prototyping and chaining together systems. The corporate said that using AI agents because the glue, automations could be personalized to work for nontechnical staff, running entirely on CodeWords infrastructure to handle deployment, setup and maintenance over time.
In a single example sent by the corporate, a finance team described a deal monitoring workflow that Cody automated in minutes by connecting Dropbox to Monday.com, which sent documents and signatures over DocuSign. In one other example, a content agency put Cody to work on their social media channels, where the agentic system now automates finding relevant content, drafts posts and sends them via WhatsApp for approval before publication.
The corporate said Cody now handles over 500,000 of those tasks a month.
“We would like users to feel like they’re working with an agent that already knows their business,” co-founder Osman Ramadan said. “Cody learns repeatedly — so as a substitute of ranging from scratch each time, it’s already interested by what you would like next.”
Alongside the fundraise, CodeWords is launching three latest capabilities for its platform: contextual memory, which lets Cody learn from past activity; WhatsApp support, so Cody can contact users where they work; and Cody modes, which allows the AI agent to adapt the way it plans and executes in response to the duty at hand.
