MANILA, Philippines–June Mar Fajardo saw firsthand why many consider Geo Chiu has a vibrant future within the PBA.

Facing one another within the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium, the reigning MVP got here away impressed with the 2025 top overall pick despite San Miguel Beermen’s 126-110 win over Terrafirma Dyip.

“That child has such a vibrant future,” Fajardo said in Filipino. “He just has to remain healthy because that’s the issue for us big men.”

“He needs to be healthy because he plays well. He just needs more touches.”

Fajardo, nonetheless, also showed Chiu what it takes to dominate in the professionals, ending with 30 points and 16 rebounds to steer the Beermen.

The Ateneo product, though, was no pushover as he tallied a double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Within the battle of huge men, Fajardo helped hand the Dyip a season-ending loss as Terrafirma dropped to 4-7.

San Miguel, meanwhile, improved to 6-5 to affix the four-way tie for fifth place.
