It’s going to be an important offseason for the Edmonton Oilers
Sportsnet 590 The FAN: Frank Seravalli, on among the offseason decisions the Edmonton Oilers could consider. Will there be a training change? Will they give you the option to maneuver defenseman Darnell Nurse?
Justin Cuthbert: “Frank or Fiction, there will likely be something major in Edmonton this season? Like, something that we’re forced to speak concerning the next day, since it’s substantial. The Oilers are literally going to take heed to their superstars and do something that may be considered heavy lifting.”
Seravalli: “I’ll say Frank, because I do think significant changes are coming in Edmonton. But I don’t know that it’s going to return on the back of listening to their superstars. Perhaps just within the sense that they heard them loud and clear and understanding that this organization took steps backwards, Yes.
I believe one. I believe a training change is probably going. I believe it’s more likely than not that Kris Knoblauch and his staff are sent packing. I believe there’s more likely to be front office changes coming in Edmonton as they reshape and restructure.
And I actually wonder, by way of how they go about rejigging this roster. What happens next? Do they discover a strategy to persuade a team, sweeten a package with a team, to maneuver on from Darnell Nurse? I believe that’s needed.
I believe they’ve gotta, it’s almost like somewhat little bit of addition by subtraction. You’ll be able to’t have a player taking over that much space in your cap and never producing at a level that’s commensurate on your team. And so I believe that’s on top of going out and getting a goalie.
Yeah, I believe any certainly one of those things would force you to discuss them the following day. I believe the totality of it and what we’re going to see for essentially the most consequential offseason, possibly in Edmonton Oilers history, on tap is value watching.”
