Christian Cage Injured On AEW Dynamite

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a scary moment for veteran star Christian Cage, who appeared to suffer a nasty eye injury during a 10-man tag team match.

The bout saw Cage team up with Adam Copeland, The Young Bucks, and Orange Cassidy to face off against Tommaso Ciampa, FTR, Clark Connors, and David Finlay of the War Dogs faction.

Throughout the match, Cage took a shot near his left eye that immediately caused blood to pour from the world. Despite this, the 52-year-old continued competing and remained heavily involved throughout the competition.

Cage still managed to contribute several key moments for his team, including a low blow on Money Wheeler that arrange a double superkick from The Young Bucks. He also shared a comedic exchange with Orange Cassidy, briefly putting his hands in his pockets before launching Cassidy into FTR at ringside.

Fortunately, the injury didn’t appear to directly damage Cage’s eye itself, which could mean the difficulty is less serious than it initially looked. AEW has yet to offer an official update on his condition.
