Rubina Dilaik On Abhinav Shukla’s Support Postpartum
When questioned concerning the support she received from her husband, Abhinav Shukla, during her postpartum phase, Rubina Dilaik shared, “Agar unka support nahi rehta na, toh things would’ve been very different. Since it’s a phase where you’re unable to simply accept what’s happening inside you, otherwise you’re not understanding why this darkest phase in my life is hitting so hard, where I don’t feel like doing anything. Where I all feel is why even this room or conversation?”
Talking about postpartum challenges, she added, “So once you start questioning these little things in your life is the time, if someone resides with you, for that matter, your husband, your partner, if she or he isn’t supportive enough to grasp ki, there could be a possibility she’s going through something, it is rather difficult. Because aap khud toh frustrated hai hi, saamne se baar baar aapko kaha jaa raha hi ki ‘why are you so frustrated’? It’s much more frustrating (laughs).”
Rubina Dilaik States You Don’t Recognise Postpartum Until It Doesn’t Pass
Reflecting on the untold struggles, Rubina continued, “And you’ll be able to’t say that I’m going through the postpartum phase. You don’t recognise it till the time it doesn’t pass. Essential yeh nahi keh rahi hu taha-umr aapke saath rehta hai. Par jab aap usse guzar rahe ho, apko nahi samajh aata that you just’re in that very dark hole. Whenever you come out of it, you’re feeling that ‘Oh my god, what the hell I used to be going through?’”
The Chhoti Bahu actress concluded, “And the saddest part is that we treat being a mother like ‘arey theek hai na yaar. Kaunsi badi baat hai? Chalo na aage badho.’ Nahi! Yeh itna bada reset phase aata hai humari life mein ki agar mahol, nutrition, safety, understanding, agar yeh sab na mile na, ek aurat bohot hi depleted state mein chali jaati hai mentally, emotionally, and physically.”
