WWE HOFer Eric Bischoff ‘Thrilled’ For Danhausen

This past February, Danhausen’s WWE debut on the Elimination Chamber was met with a mixed response, with some fans being accustomed to his gimmick from AEW, while others were disenchanted that he was the surprise reveal within the mystery crate that was featured on television for weeks. Nevertheless, over the past two months, Danhausen has continued to earn the respect of a the WWE Universe, as he is not only gotten fans to purchase into his catchphrase and comedic timing, but he’s also turn out to be one in every of the highest merchandise sellers in the corporate. Danhausen has even began to impress the older generation of the wrestling industry, including WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff, who praised the 35-year-old on “83 Weeks” despite the character not being of interest to him.

“Well, it is not for me. It’s for a seriously large segment of the WWE Universe, however it’s not for me. And guess what? That is exciting. That is why you may have people around you who could make really good high-risk decisions,” Bischoff explained. “Any person saw that upside. I do not think they only brought Danhausen in and went, ‘Okay, here’s what we’ll do, and let’s just see if it really works.’ There was any person behind this who believed in it. That merchandise was ready fast. So, I’m thrilled for him … ended up at AEW and any person at TKO went, ‘Huh, we could probably make a pair hundred million dollars off of that. Call that child up,’ and boom, here we’re. I feel it’s an enchanting journey.”

Bischoff also believes that Danhausen is not going to be a “week in, week out” storyline character, stating that he’ll be featured on a quarterly basis for just a few weeks at a time and can only be inserted into feud when WWE feels it’s appropriate.
