During this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, Jack Perry ran out carrying a bag of onions as he made the save for The Young Bucks and Chris Jericho.

In a video posted on Instagram, Perry later showed how he secretly got hold of the onions for the segment, thanks to an assist from Luchasaurus.

During a recent appearance on the “SHAK Wrestling” podcast, MJF said he is not a “character” or playing kayfabe, insisting he is Maxwell Jacob Friedmann all day, every day.

MJF called himself a generational talent, focused on heat, money, and becoming a three‑time world champion by age 30.

You can check out some highlights from the podcast below:

On the genesis of his ‘character’:  “I knew I wanted to be me 100% of the time because I am me. So, it was not shared to do. You know, a lot of people like to use the words character. A lot of wrestling fans will say the word kayfabe even though they have no idea what it means. The fact of the matter is is I am not a character. I am not kayfabing it. I am MJF 24/7. So it’s not like I have to put up this affront. I just simply wake up and do my thing and then go to sleep in a beautiful silk-lined bed in my lovely mansion in Long Island.”

On when he realized he was becoming a magnetic talent: “Well, I’ll be honest. My first match, and I’m sure my first match is somewhere on YouTube, but I remember it was a it was a create a pro wrestling show, and I was watching all the matches before I went o,n and like they were getting like the respectful golf clap thing and I was like, ‘Oh, why are none of these people interacting with the audience?” I got it. And I was like, literally 18 at the time. Um, I’ve been in the business now for 13 years. And um, for only six of those years, I’ve been exposed on national television, and I’m already considered by most the best in the world right now. That didn’t happen by accident. That happened by me looking at what everybody else was doing and going, ‘That’s neat. I’m not going to do that. I’m not gonna flip and flop and fly and dump me on my head or my opponent on there.’ Like the thing that I was most concerned with was building a genuine like vitriol. Like, I just wanted people to hate me because when people hate me, I make more money.

“So it just seemed like such a slam dunk and a layup that no one was paying attention to at the time. And what’s cute now is I am seeing the light bulb go off because when you’re as good of a talker as me, what happens is you get compared to good talkers of your and good talkers of your, as much as I love professional wrestling, most of the time if you’re this incredible talker, you’re a dog [ __ ] wrestler. And we’ve seen it time and time and time and time again. And there aren’t lots of folks that can talk and wrestle like me. And I’d imagine the last person who could possibly be at the extent that I do was Flair. I mean, [ __ ], you’re taking a look at Flair, you’re taking a look at Austin, you’re taking a look at Rock, you’re taking a look at Cena. These are the names you’re considering of, and these are the folks that I get in comparison with once I meet people, , once I leave my house, because I’m always getting stopped. And , that’s not something to disregard.

“Like I call myself a generational talent because I do know when my run’s over, when people talk in regards to the, , 2020s, they’re going to discuss MJF. They’re not going to have a selection. Because I’m the point of interest of this era and I’m about to turn out to be on this Sunday a three-time world champion by 30. Do yourself a favor, chat GPT, Google, regardless of the Grok, regardless of the bull**** you would like to use. Type in how many individuals have turn out to be a three-time world champion at 30 years old. The list is few and much between. And this industry’s been around for a protracted, long, very long time.

“So, we’re entering historic territory, which is, I believe, why this pay-per-view is so must-see, Shak, because either Darby’s going to retain and I’m going to get my head shaved ball not happening or which could be history if it did however it’s not happening otherwise you get to witness history in seeing any person who will join a club that’s literally a handful of individuals within the history of the game of becoming a three-time world champion at 30 years of age. It’s unprecedented.”

On why his method is frowned upon: “Individuals are being ****ies, Shak and I’d like to be quoted on that. And I’d love you to not bleep it. Sincerely. We live in a society full of weak people who find themselves afraid of offending others. That’s not something I’m afraid of. Once I offend you, you purchase a ticket. Once I offend you, the rankings go up. Once I offend you, you’ve gotten no selection but to look at me and hope that I lose against a man like Darby Allen, which I won’t, and also you’ll proceed to look at me because I grab you by the balls and I provide you with no selection otherwise. Now, once I see guys, and there are a few of these guys I respect, but I see guys, they’re on TV, after which they go on Twitter, ‘Oh my god, I just had such an awesome match with so and so. I’ve had a lot fun at work these last couple of weeks!’ It makes me wish to vomit. It’s disgusting.

“That’s not why I got on this sport. I got on this sport to speak ****. I got in the game to beat people up, and I got in the game to make a complete lot of cash doing it. I can’t comprehend the concept of It’s like they’re putting a fancy dress on, Shak. I can’t relate to that. And I need to look at a man that I do know is real on my TV screen. I don’t want to look at a man playing one other guy. If I desired to ******* watch that, I might activate a movie or a TV show. That’s not why I watch professionals.”
