KKR still within the race for IPL 2026 playoffs with one match left

Led by Ajinkya Rahane, Kolkata Knight Riders had a really poor begin to IPL 2026. They did not win any of their first six matches, losing five games while one match ended with no result. Nevertheless, the team made a powerful comeback later and has now won six of their last seven matches.

KKR are currently sixth on the points table with 13 points from 13 matches. To qualify for the highest 4, Kolkata must win their final game against Delhi Capitals. They will even need Rajasthan Royals to lose against Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings to lose against Lucknow Super Giants.

Even when PBKS win their final match, KKR could still qualify through a greater net run rate. But when RR win their game, they may secure a spot in the highest 4 together with Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Titans, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
