Ric Flair Is not Suing His Son, Tells David To Stand On His Own

It was recently reported that Ric Flair intends to sue someone near him over using the term ‘Flair’, which Ric has a trademark for.

Many suspected that Ric intends to sue his son David, on condition that the younger Flair is reported to be a component of the Flair Green Recycling company.

In an update, Ric said that it was obvious he wouldn’t sue his son, but encouraged David to make use of his wife’s name for business somewhat than the Flair moniker.

Ric also asked David to stop selling Ric’s robes that David used during his time in WCW, adding that David should establish himself away from his dad’s legacy.

“I’m Obviously Not Suing My Son. Just Reminding Him That You Can’t Have The Best Of Each Worlds! Use Your God Given Name, Fliehr, Which Isn’t Value A Cup Of Coffee. Or Your Wife’s Name, Who Has Had 3 Generations Of Success. Also, Please Don’t Sell My Robes That I Let You Use During Your Profession As You Have Already Sold One. You’re 47 Years Old… Now Stand On Your Own Two Feet Please.”

David Flair was a part of WCW for several years, often appearing on-screen together with his father and holding the WCW United States Heavyweight Title.

While David made a handful of appearances on WWE programming post-WCW, he never made it, and his wrestling success was dwarfed by his sister Charlotte.

Ric has since deleted his Twitter post.
