Philadelphia signs 2024 sixth-round pick to entry-level contract

The Philadelphia Flyers have added one other member of their 2024 draft class to the organization, signing forward Ilya Pautov to a three-year entry-level contract, general manager Daniel Briere announced Monday.

Pautov becomes the fifth player from Philadelphia’s 2024 draft group to sign an NHL contract, joining Jett Luchanko, Jack Berglund, Spencer Gill, and Noah Powell. Chosen within the sixth round with the 173rd overall pick, the Russian winger turned 20 years old on May 3 and spent the 2025-26 season playing at each the junior and skilled levels in Russia.

The Novosibirsk native divided his season between Krasnaya Armiya Moskva of the MHL and Zvezda Moskva of the VHL, Russia’s second-highest skilled league. In 30 MHL games, he recorded 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points, rating third on his team in points per game amongst players who played not less than 20 games with a 0.77 rate. He also produced 10 points (4 goals, six assists) in nine playoff contests, the second-highest postseason total on the club.
