Chad Gable has revealed that shoulder and bicep issues in 2024 and 2025 led to multiple tendon tears and rotator cuff damage that sidelined him for the remainder of 2025.
He eventually needed surgery on his left shoulder, then returned within the 2026 Royal Rumble as El Grande Americano.
During Part One in all his documentary, Gable said,
“This stems back some time, but in October (2024), I used to be wrestling Gunther on a live event within the UK. Something happened to my bicep tendon on [the right] side, which had never happened before. I don’t even know specifically what happened; it was no person’s fault, it was only a freak thing. I used to be walking to the back after the match, my bicep was feeling very funky and it looked funky. It turned out that I had a slight tear in my right bicep tendon, the one which attaches to the shoulder. Nothing serious enough to require surgery. I kept wrestling, finished the tour, and carried on as normal.
“Progressively, the appropriate side was giving me more trouble. Sometimes, I couldn’t extend my elbow all the way in which or it hurt to or I’d have pain within the lower a part of the bicep. eventually, I made a decision to get it checked out for my sanity. I got MRIs on my shoulder, tricep, and bicep tendons. The doctor explained to me that they found different issues.”
Finn Balor has huge respect for UFC and boxing fighters, nevertheless, he has no real interest in crossing over.
At a Zuffa Boxing press event, Balor made it clear that he would relatively stay in his lane and keep doing WWE, despite TKO’s crossover potential. He said,
“Well, obviously I actually have the upmost respect for the gentlemen which can be up here beside me. I wouldn’t take it calmly stepping within the ring with a number of the boxers or the cage with the fighters. They’re very disciplined guys, they know exactly what they’re doing. I’d relatively stay exactly in my lane in WWE, thanks very much.”
