Kane Williamson’s retirement got here in the midst of the England Tests, with Latest Zealand trailing 0-1. In an announcement released by Latest Zealand Cricket, Williamson said that he felt fortunate to step away on his own terms as well.

“I’ve considered it for some time, but over the previous couple of days it’s turn into clear now’s the correct time. “The opposite side of that’s I see a gaggle, a very, really talented group which have that journey ahead of them which can be totally invested in wanting to do some special things with this Latest Zealand cricket team that I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have been an element of for such an extended time period. I just have a lot respect for the Latest Zealand team, the Blackcaps, and a lot respect for the sport. And so it feels right to be making this decision today,” he concluded.
