On Monday, ITV America and Peacock confirmed to TMZ that executive producer James Barker passed away last week after experiencing an unexpected medical emergency.
The precise circumstances surrounding his death haven’t been disclosed. Nonetheless, the businesses shared that they plan to honor Barker during Tuesday’s episode of ‘Love Island USA.’
In an announcement, the businesses said Barker’s loss has been “deeply felt” across the ‘Love Island USA’ production team. They added, “He was a beloved and greatly valued member of our collective family whose kindness, talent, and dedication left an indelible mark on all of us and everybody who had the privilege of knowing and dealing with him. James Barker’s partner, Adam Roth, spoke with TMZ and shared that his sudden passing has left him completely devastated. The couple had been together for greater than 4 years.
