Despite the distraction, Mone never lost focus. Hazuki nearly secured a significant upset when she trapped The CEO in a Crossface submission. Moné managed to flee by rolling through right into a backslide pin attempt, forcing Hazuki to release the hold.
The 2 competitors continued to trade momentum in a highly competitive encounter before Moné finally turned the tide. The previous TBS Champion locked in her Bank Statement submission, leaving Hazuki with no alternative but to tap out.
With the victory, Mone advances to the finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament and now sits one win away from capturing the distinguished tournament for a second consecutive 12 months. She’s going to face the winner of the opposite semifinal matchup between Athena and tournament wild card Maya World.
