Javid Basharat has reportedly found his latest home following his surprising UFC exit.

In February, Basharat was amongst several names that were cut from the leading MMA promotion’s roster.

His departure got here as a surprise considering that he’d won just days before to enhance his record contained in the Octagon to 4-2-1.

After Basharat reflected on his UFC departure, it looks like he’s able to begin the subsequent chapter of his profession by signing to a brand new promotion.

Javid Basharat reportedly signs to PFL following surprising UFC departure

On June 21, zaclikesMMA on X reported that Javid Basharat has signed to the PFL following the top of his UFC profession.

‘The Snow Leopard’ bounced back from the primary two losses of his profession last trip, beating substitute opponent Gianni Vaszquez following defeats to Ricky Simon and Aiemann Zahabi.

Basharat made his UFC debut back in 2022 following a win on Dana White’s Contender Series that the promotion’s president said he was “blown away” by when awarding him a contract.

While the 30-year-old earned a spot on the roster because of a submission win, all 4 of his victories within the UFC got here via decision, which appears to be why he’s not under contract.

The PFL hasn’t crowned a bantamweight champion yet since moving away from the season format last 12 months.

Former UFC flyweight Sergio Pettis is currently the top-ranked fighter within the promotion’s 135-pound division, with the likes of Mitch McKee and Taylor Lapilus behind him.

Pettis is trying to bounce back from a loss to McKee when he returns to face Lewis McGrillen on July 18.
